Audition Notice for The Bodyguard-the Musical
Character Breakdown:
Rachel Marron (Lead): Female, 18-45 – A famous singer/actress who is at the top of her game! Sexy, confident, and self-sufficient. They must be an EXCEPTIONAL powerhouse singer (Whitney Houston). G3 to F5 (belt) should be very comfortable with pop, rock, gospel, etc. Ethnicity: Black/African American
Frank Farmer (Lead) Male, 21-45 (Non-singing) A former C.I.A. agent, physically fit, lithe, and athletic; sharp-witted and instinctive, handsome, and charismatic. He radiates a silent strength, an American alpha man type. Frank sings one song in a karaoke-style. He need not be a major singer; he has the confidence to sing in front of a theatre audience. Ethnicity: White/European Descent.
Nicki Marron (Female, 21-45) - Rachel's older sister, a very talented singer who has taken a back seat to her sister's rising star. Quiet type but attractive. She must be a very strong singer. Nicki must have a very soulful, gospel-tinged voice. She sings ballads in the show and should have a warm resonance, excellent pitch, and an ability to riff. Range from G below middle C to E at top of staff. Ethnicities: Black/African American.
Fletcher – Rachel Marron's son Playing Age: 8-10 years old: Should be a strong boy singer with an innate knowledge of pop/soul idiom. Early Michael Jackson should be used as a reference. He needs to be able to sing a top E and have a strong pitch and an ability to riff—ethnicities: Black/African American.

Sy Spector – Rachel Marron's Publicist Playing Age: 21 – 45
Stalker – Rachel Marron's Stalker Playing Age: 18 – 45
Ray Court – An experienced and knowledgeable C.I.A. Agent. Playing Age: Mid/late 30s to late '40s
URGENTLY SEEKING TECHNICAL DANCERS
Looking for solid commercial dancers with good jazz and Ballet techniques. Experienced with hip hop, video styling, freestyle, Latin salsa partnering, and Pas de Deux would be a plus but not a requirement.
*We encourage auditioners from all ethnicities to audition
Seeking Female Background Vocalists – Must be a strong singer, particularly soul/gospel is a plus. Range: G below mid C to G at top of stave Covers 1st/2nd for Rachel Marron.
AUDITION PREPARATION
Dancers: must be prepared to learn Choreography from our staff - Please come warm up and ready to dance.
Singers/Actors: All applicants must sing two (2) contrasting songs from the show. (No music will be heard of their own choosing)

ABCT Summer Program is more than a Camp...It's Culture!
6 Week Summer Theater Program
It is more than a training ground for the arts; it is a safe and nurturing environment where the community is stressed, friendship valued, and personal growth celebrated.
The ideal place for children to learn about the arts and develop creative skills to discover more about themselves and their world.
ABCT Summer Camp will help children 7 - 17 years of age expand their cultural boundaries and outlook.
ABCT Summer Camp is a full-day theater experience, and breakfast and lunch are on site. Your child will enjoy six weeks of special art activities and high-quality, firsthand workshops, including:
*Theatre - playwriting, performance, production, costuming, lighting, and set building.
On Friday of each week, we stage a talent show/performance where your child will display their creativity and imagination.
ABCT Summer Camps' primary objectives are to instruct each child:
* Teamwork
* Civic Service
* Cultural values
* The importance of culture
PAYMENT & TUITION
Flat Rate: The cost of the 6-week session is $600. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tuition covers all materials (Travel cost, admissions, and daily breakfast and lunch.)
Transportation to and from ABCT is not available.
